Prayer for the Transgender Day of Visibility

Each year on March 31, the world observes Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) to raise awareness about transgender people. It is a day to celebrate the lives and contributions of trans people, while also drawing attention to the disproportionate levels of poverty, discrimination, and violence the community faces compared to cisgender (non-transgender) people. Creator of transition, the one who calls all to authenticity, the invisible made visible through acts of love.  You have made us all in your image, so that you might become more visible in our world.  Touch those who feel abandoned and alone, through our embrace.  Let your words of grace over power all the misinformation and the hate.  Allow the world to see, that even now you are present in the lives of the rejected, neglected and silenced. May the glory of your truth be revealedin our hope.  Give us new life, when others are seeking to take it away.  Give us renewed joy, casting out all our fears.  All this is asked with Love.  Amen.
